Heels 101

April 4, 2019 in Fashion, Personal Style - 2 min read
I don’t know about you but I feel so sexy in a pair of heels. I can’t explain it. It’s like having that Cinderella moment without all that stepmom and stepsister drama. A good pair of heels can make an outfit and have you stepping out looking and feeling a way. The outfit-heels combination possibilities are endless but I think it’s always good to go back to the basics and talk about the different types of heels. Welcome to Heels 101 !
-good choice for a casual outfit
-can dress up or down

-give good ankle support
-make heels more secure to walk in

-easier to walk in cause of stability because of a wider base
-come with or without platform

-made of cork
-gives more cushion to walk in
-takes pressure off your feet

-two sides are tied together across the front of the feet as a traditional corset would be
-not ideal for wider feet

-come in any color or pattern

-The base is made with natural fibers, while the upper part is made of cloth, leather, etc
-comes in all types of styles
-most popular during the spring and summer

-thigh highs add an extra umph to any outfit
-they are great with mini dresses and shorts

-shortest heel so good for a beginner
-not too common to see anymore

-type of heeled sandal
-covers most of foot
-can be opened or closed

-show around 2-3 toes but not too much

-trendy
-known as “those clear heels”
-exposes entire foot
-because of the material, it can make your feet warmer than usually and may result in sweat and condensation

-gives great support
-makes sole even bigger while adding height

-standard high heel
-with a heel of 1 inch or less
-cut low in front
-hardest to walk in in my opinion

-strap goes behind achilles heel
-elegance
-make sure your feet sit well in the shoe

-highest heel
-has a thin long heel of 1 inch or more
-some have platforms for added support

-sexy take on heels

-no separation between heel and sole
-weight is eventually distributed throughout
